As Christian all over the world celebrate the Easter, which marked the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Nigerians have been asked to keep hope alive in their quest for a better nation.

The Catholic Priest of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Utako, Abuja, Reverend Father Sebastian Sanni, stated this during the Easter Sunday church service message in Abuja on Sunday.

“The significance of today’s celebrations, means that our Christian hope for better Nigeria has been restored, evil minds do not have power over us and we no longer operate in the dark.”

“The Easter message which centered on the significance of the risen Jesus Christ and victory over the dead, were taken from the Holy Bible, in the book of John: 20. 1-9, the Priest said, has brought freedom and hope that has been lost.

“Today’s celebration means we are not alone in our quest for better Nigeria. Our challenges have been defeated and victory has been restored,” he said.

Father Sebastian admonished Christians to embrace the life of peace and forgiveness, which is evidenced in Jesus Christ.

“In the midst of hopelessness, anguish, economic instability and pain, through the celebration of Christ resurrection, we have been ushered into the life of freedom and hope.”

He added, “by the power of the resurrection, our life has been renewed, therefore, we should spread the message of peace and joy to our neighbours.”
