To mark the Easter Day Celebration, Faith Adekunle Charity Mission (FACM ) has donated different food items to over 500 widows and orphans in FCT to help cushion the effect of hardship in the country.

The food items, which include rice, oil, yam, noodles, spaghetti, flakes, seasoning, among others, was distributed to the beneficiaries at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Overcomers Chapel, Gwarinpa Abuja

In her remarks, Chief Executive of the Mission, Engr. Adefunke Adekunle, said Easter is a time of hope and renewal and a reminder of the profound responsibility they share to uplift the most vulnerable among them.

She said the gesture was a reflection of the organization’s commitment to serving humanity, particularly during festive periods..

She said: “At Faith Adekunle Charity Mission,  we are driven by this responsibility, and this year, we are focusing our efforts on providing essential support to orphans and widows who face increasing hardships due to rising food inflation in our nation.”

She said the mission reflects their core belief that the true measure of a society lies in how it cares for its most disadvantaged members.

Adding that it is not only an act of charity but a commitment to building a culture of compassion and resilience.

“We understand that the economic realities many families face today make even the simplest celebration seem out of reach. This is why our NGO is stepping in to ensure that these individuals can share in the joy and dignity of the Easter season. However, this is a cause no single organization can achieve alone.”

She, however, called on leaders, partners, and change makers to join them in the impactful mission either through financial contributions, volunteering, or amplifying the call to action, saying, their involvement can bring hope to countless lives this Easter.

In an interview, one of beneficiaries, Rose Usman, who was deeply touched by the kind gesture, said: “This support came at a time of great need and reminded me that even in difficult times, there is always kindness and hope. I am truly grateful for the charity and the difference it has made in my life and family this period.”
“May God richly bless the organization and management and the amazing work they are doing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she said..

Another beneficiary, Habiba Emmanuel, thanked the organisation for their generosity and compassion during this challenging period.

“This Easter, your thoughtful charity has been a beacon of hope for me. Your actions remind us of the goodness in humanity, and I am immensely grateful for your support. May you continue to inspire and touch more lives,” she said.
