The Edo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has urged motorists and other road users to obey traffic rules and regulations in order to stay alive during the Easter celebration.
The state’s Sector Commander, Paul Okpe, gave the advice yesterday during a road show as part of activities to sensitise road users on the need to be safety-conscious on the road.
Okpe said the sensitisation was necessary due to the attitude of drivers in the state, noting that one had to be alive to celebrate.
He advised that, “Before embarking on any journey during this period, check your vehicle to ascertain whether your brake, light, fire extinguisher, tyre, among others, are in good condition.
“While on the road, you have to obey traffic rules by wearing seatbelt, avoid overloading and speeding, dangerous driving and route violation, among others. You can celebrate with your family while alive.”
