President Goodluck Jonathan and state governors are currently meeting over measures to contain further spread of Ebola virus.

The meeting, which commenced at 2.55pm, is being held inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Before the meeting started, the president and the Lagos State Governor, Raji Fashola, demonstrated the use of hand sanitiser as part of measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

The governors are attending the meeting along with their commissioners for health.

Among the governors in attendance are those of Enugu, Ebonyi, Cross River, Borno, Kogi, Lagos, Nasarawa, Gombe, Kaduna, Taraba, Ondo, Ogun, Niger, Plateau and Ondo States.
