The acting Commissioner for Environment in Ebonyi, Sunday Ugwuocha, has said the ministry is targeting to plant not less than five million trees in some parts of the state in the next six months.
Ugwuocha, who made this known in an interview with South East Trust, maintained that the measure was not only to create a green environment but control climate change.
It was observed that tree planting exercise has commenced in some of the 13 local government areas of the state and in some ministries.
