The management of Ecobank Nigeria Limited has announced the promotion of more than 1000 staff.
According to the bank, about 30 per cent of its employees benefited from the exercise designed to reward excellence and exceptional performance. The promoted staff cut across all cadres of the workforce.
The Managing Director of Ecobank Nigeria, Charles Kie explained in Lagos that the development was part of the bank’s roadmap to leadership targeted at making Ecobank one of top three banks in Nigeria within the next five years.
He stated that the bank was fully committed to rewarding excellence and would continue to take appropriate positive actions in line with international best practice to sustain excellence in its work force.
Ecobank is a pan-African banking conglomerate, with banking operations in 36 African countries.
The bank recently partnered with Visa to launch Ecobank Scan+Pay with mVisa solutions to their consumers in 33 countries.
