President of the church, Rev Jeremiah Gado who commissioned the facility at the weekend said the guest house would advance the cause of the church.
“This project is to meet one of our four-point agenda: to mobilize resources that will help reposition ECWA to powerfully proclaim the gospel to mankind,” Rev Gado told newsmen during a post-commissioning press interview, explaining, “It’s to serve as a befitting place of rest for our guests, most of who are our pastors who come for our meetings and conferences. When they come here from working hard out there in the bush, they should receive comfort and encouragement.”
Indicating that the guest house which has 36 rooms, two suites, and one mini-board room, would also serve members of the public, the ECWA president said, “The second reason is so that we may generate revenue for the gospel.
“That is the significance of the project. ECWA headquarters is in the city, in Jos. It is important that we have a befitting place in the city for our pastors and for ECWA to use it to reach out even to the city of Jos. So, it is both evangelistic and to generate revenue.”
The guest house which located behind the popular Challenge Bookshop owned by ECWA and only a few hundred metres away from the ECWA headquarters complex is in central Jos.
