The Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Paul Okpe, has disclosed that 12 persons were killed in 31 road accidents across the state between May and June, 2024.
Mr Okpe, while speaking with journalists, said 12 persons were killed in May and four in June.
He further said 143 passengers were involved in the accidents and that 53 were injured.
He attributed the accidents to route violation, brake failure, over-speeding, dangerous driving, use of phone while driving, among others.
He, therefore, advised motorists to imbibe safety culture on the road in order to stay alive.
