The Esan Young Professionals Abuja (EYPA) has said its call for Engr. Freeborn Edetanlen Okhiria to run for the governorship position in the Edo State governorship election in 2024 is based on the pass mark given to him after being rated alongside other aspirants.

A statement yesterday by the body signed by Dr Charles Agbonkhehi (Convener) and Sir Matthew Ibhafidon (Secretary), said after placing him side by side with other aspirants, Fidet was miles above others.

“As Edo State gears up for the 2024 gubernatorial elections, the political landscape is abuzz with anticipation and speculation. Amidst this fervour, one name has emerged as a beacon of hope and change.

“With his proven track record of leadership and commitment to the betterment of the community, Fidet presents a compelling case for his candidacy in the upcoming elections,” the statement said.

EYPA said Fidet’s unwavering commitment to progressive policies and inclusive governance sets him apart as a visionary leader, adding that his demonstrated ability to formulate and execute strategic plans that promote economic growth and social welfare made him a prime candidate to steer Edo State towards a prosperous future.
The body noted that having actively engaged with local communities and grassroots organizations, Fidet had cultivated a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the people of Edo State.
The group called on the people of Edo to give him the opportunity to turn the state around by supporting his candidacy.
