The Controller of Corrections, Julius Osemwengie, has assumed duty as the 21st Controller of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Edo State Command.
Osemwengie replaces the immediate past Controller, CCS Sunday E. Oyakhire, who recently retired from the service.
Until his posting to the Edo command, Osemwengie served as the Controller in charge of Social Works and Welfare at the National Headquarters in Abuja.
Osemwengie said his mission in Edo is to achieve enhanced security, productivity, and progress.
He stressed the need for personnel to maintain high professional standards and work collectively to ensure the command is recognized for excellence in the discharge of its duties.
