The Edo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday unveiled its campaign council for the September 21 governorship election in the state.
The PDP State Organising Secretary, Tony Anenih (Jnr.), said in a statement that members of the Campaign Council were carefully chosen to support the party’s candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
He stated that the campaign structure includes an advisory council to be headed by the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki; a management committee; and a state campaign council comprising 200 eminent members of the PDP.
Anenih added that the women’s wing will be led by the Edo State First Lady, Betsy Obaseki, and Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ighodalo, while the youth wing will be headed by the Deputy National Youth Leader, Timothy Osadolor.

He explained that the selection process was conducted under the direct supervision of the party’s leaders, headed by Obaseki.
“I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind that this group of versatile PDP members, carefully chosen, will effectively support our candidate, Dr. Ighodalo,” he said.
