Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has advised the electorate against succumbing to monetary inducements in exchange for votes.

Speaking Sunday, Okpebholo said accepting money for votes means compromising the future and prosperity of the state and reducing the credibility of the election.

He urged the electorate to remain vigilant and resist the temptation to be swayed by financial incentives that could lead to a governance system beholden to vested interests rather than the welfare of the people.

The APC candidate also charged the people of the state to critically evaluate the actions and manifestoes of all candidates vying for leadership positions in the state.
