The Executive Director of a faith-based NGO, InnerCity Mission, Omoh Alabi, has called on the federal government and humanitarians to invest heavily in the education of Nigerians, saying it is the only tenable option to reduce the growing rate of poverty in the country.

Speaking on Saturday during the 2021 Humanitarian Action Conference (HAC) in Abuja organised in commemoration of this year’s International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Alabi lamented that many Nigerians were living in poverty, hence that something urgent needed to be done to alleviate their suffering.
