Melaye who spoke to Daily Trust at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, regretted that the education sector has remained prostrate over years.
According to Melaye, “education is the key to the survival of Nigeria’s development and the continuous decay in the educational sector can be attributed to the corruption among the political class in the country,” he said.
He appealed to all stakeholders in the sector to stand and speak out against the ills that had permeated the system.
