It is physically proven that today we are facing great challenges in the educational sector in Katsina State, ranging from poor accommodation for both teachers and students, lack of skilled and qualified teachers and technologists, lack of transportation and so much more. Logicians argue that one cannot pass judgment on something unless one has a clear conception of it, because the unknown and the undefined cannot be judged. Therefore, we first have to determine what “change” means before we can understand the journey of positive change in our society.
Change, in this situation, means being proud of your society. It also means boasting of a place where corruption is tackled, where the leaders are disciplined and lead with vision and clarity. Also, a society which neither yourselves nor your parents, families or friends will have to fear for your safety or for theirs, as well as a state that provides jobs. It additionally means a state where entrepreneurship thrives and the government gets out of your way so that you can create value, build the economy and aggressively expand wealth.
Are this things truly possible? Yes. Because of the current leadership of the state, citizens of Katsina have hope of positive change in the educational sector. It is therefore heartening that an individual like Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa has been appointed as Secretary to Katsina State Government and Dr. Badamasi Lawal Charanchi as S.A Higher Education. It is on record that a leader needs nothing from followers, other than support and encouragement, so this is also a tip of the hat to Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari for appointing  capable men.
This is also a call on the government of Katsina State to strengthen the Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) sector in the state. It is known that no nation will ever develop without sound, quality education, and an emphasis on science and technology. So, keen focus on laboratories is key. 
Ours is a great state with great people, therefore government should give more opportunity to science and technology at all levels of education in order to revitalise young minds positively towards state- and nation-building. Finally, I want to urge the entire youth of this great state to continue lending their full support, and contribute their part in the journey of positive change for a better Katsina.
