The Niger Delta leading newspaper, GbaramatuVoice, has announced Chief (Dr.) Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, the Ijaw National Leader and National Leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), as the Father of the Day for its 9th Annual Lectures and Niger Delta Night of Honor 2024.
The event is themed ‘Interrogating the State Police Question: From Ideation to Action’ and is scheduled to take place at Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in August 28.
Mr. Jacob Abai, Publisher/CEO of GbaramatuVoice, stated on Saturday that Pa Clark’s distinguished presence at the event is anticipated to create significant impact.
He said, “This afternoon in Abuja, the leadership and editorial team of GbaramatuVoice were deeply honored to receive blessings from our esteemed father and leader, Senator Chief (Dr.) Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, OFR, CON, as the Ijaw National Leader and National Leader of PANDEF.”

Throughout the years, GbaramatuVoice annual lecture series has drawn a diverse array of attendees, including Senator Douye Diri, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State; former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva; former Governors of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa; former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello; former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro; former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja.
Others include Prince Adewale Adebayo, the 2023 Social Democratic Party (SDP) Presidential candidate; President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), Prof. Benjamin Okaba; traditional rulers, religious leaders, representatives from international oil companies like Chevron Nigeria Limited, academia, civil society organizations, NGOs, youth groups, lawmakers, community leaders, and chiefs.
The 2023 edition of GbaramatuVoice’s annual lecture series, themed ‘Developing Maritime Agronomic Architecture: Tilling for Food Security,’ took place at the Bayelsa State Government House.
This event focused on leveraging maritime resources to enhance food security and sustainable agriculture in the Niger Delta region.
