Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 40 suspected internet fraudsters in Bida, the headquarters of Bida LGA of Niger State, and Minna, the state capital.
The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the arrests followed credible intelligence linking the suspects to various forms of internet-related fraud.

He listed items recovered from the suspects to include three cars, eight power generating sets, one Hisense air conditioner, two power stabilisers, 10 motorcycles, eight laptops, four bluetooth speakers and 60 Android phones.
Also seized were fetish items such as three calabashes adorned with feathers, traditionally made soap and sponge, a bottle of hot drink, 20 cowries, a waist bead, and four pairs of women’s underwear.
