The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 48 internet fraudsters from different locations of its Makurdi zonal office.

EFCC Makurdi Zonal Head of Operations, Johnson Babalola, made the disclosure on Thursday at a press conference in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

“This zone (Benue, Nasarawa and Niger states) embarked on thorough investigation and arrested 48 suspects,” he said.

Babalola noted that of the number, 13 suspects were being prosecuted while others are presently at various stages of investigation.
