The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday, arraigned  before an Ogun state High Court sitting in Abeokuta, the trio of the Pro Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture  Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Alabata , Ogun state Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, the Vice chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole and Bursar, Mr. Moses Ilsanmi.

The trio were arraigned before Justice O.O. Majekodunmi of the High Court 6 on 18 count charge bothering on stealing and fraudulent conversion of the University property.

The three of them arrived the court at about 8.30am in a bus marked Abuja EWR 633 AT with officials of the Eonomic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accompanying them.

Hundreds of members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) , whose three members petitioned the EFCC stormed the court to witness proceedings.

At about 9.15am, the Court clerk read out an 18 count charges and they all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Ogunlewe, who was represented by his son, M.O. Ogunlewe however couldn’t move the bail application,  a development that almost denigrated into confusion in the defendant legal counsel team.

Justice Majekuodunmi said she would stood  down the case for 30 minutes to allow the lawyers sort out themselves.
