EHA Clinics, a leading provider of patient-centered, technology-driven healthcare services in Nigeria, has announced the appointment of Dr. Ifunanya Ilodibe as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Dr. Ilodibe assumes the role with over 14 years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare operations, and quality management, and her leadership reflects EHA Clinics’ continued commitment to excellence, innovation, and accessible care for all, according to a statement issued by the firm on Tuesday.

“Dr. Ilodibe has consistently demonstrated the kind of operational excellence, clinical expertise, and values-driven leadership that define our mission. Her appointment marks the beginning of a new era for the organization”, said Adam Thompson, outgoing CEO.

Dr. Ilodibe began her journey at EHA Clinics in 2019 as Practice and Quality Assurance Manager, where she was instrumental in improving performance management, recruitment, quality assurance, and patient satisfaction.

The statement recalled that in 2020, she spearheaded the setup and management of EHA Clinics’ COVID-19 Isolation Center — a critical response initiative that served the Abuja community throughout the pandemic, stressing that her leadership was also central to achieving Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation for EHA Clinics Kano, the first primary healthcare facility in Sub-Saharan Africa to earn this recognition.

She was promoted to Vice President of Medical Services, Quality, and Patient Safety in 2022, and later to Executive Vice President of Clinical Services in 2024, overseeing clinical operations and governance across all clinic locations.

Speaking on the appointment, Dr. Ilodibe said, “I am deeply honoured to serve as CEO of an organization that places compassion, community, and quality at its core. My vision is to strengthen our systems, support our
teams, and continue delivering healthcare that meets people where they are — whether in our clinics, at home, or online”

Dr. Ilodibe holds a Master’s in International Health Management and Leadership from the University of Sheffield, UK, and dual degrees in Medicine and Medical Sciences from the University of Ghana.

She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), a Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, and a Certified Crucial Conversations Trainer.
