Eid el-Kabir: NTIC Foundation reaches out to over 100,000

The Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) Foundation has distributed food items to over 100,000 persons during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Coordinator of the foundation, Behlul Fatih Basaran, told newsmen in Abuja that the gesture was part of the corporate social responsibility of the foundation to felicitate with the beneficiaries which cuts across 20 states of the federation.

According to him, over 350 cows were slaughtered and distributed along with other food items to people in more than 20,000 communities during the eid festival.

Displaced people in various IDP camps located in Borno, Sokoto, Adamawa, Kano, Abuja and other parts the country also benefited from the gesture, which Basaran said has been on since 2013.

“Every year, we try to put smile on the faces of the less privileged, the needy most especially those living in IDP camps. Celebrating Sallah is only good when everybody is happy.

“We have our volunteers across twenty states doing this on our behalf, and it is part of our religion. The essence of Sallah is to share with friends and those who are in need,” he said.
