Eid-el Kabir: Taraba Monarch urges Traditional rulers to avoid selling lands to strangers

The Emir of Muri, Alh Abbas Njidda on Tafida on Friday advised  traditional rulers  in Taraba state to stop selling lands to strangers who may be criminals.

The Monarch gave the advice while addressing thousands of people in his palace  in Jalingo during his Eid- El- Kebir Sallah homage

He said royal fathers must stop selling lands that belong to their communities to strangers.

“Ward head and District Heads  must know that whatever that is kept for a community must be protected because it belong to them,” he said.

He further  advised traditional rulers that they should  know the kind of people they harboured in their various communities and also be security conscious

The Emir  maintained that royal fathers must leave by example,  noting that leaders at all levels must be just in the discharge of their satisfactory responsibilities.

“Once  you are a leader,  you must be a leader for all irrespective of religious or tribe differences, a leader does not have sentiment about religion or tribe,” he further stated

Alhaji Abbas Jidda Tafida, also commended the giant stride of the administration of governor Agbu Kefas, stressing that the governor has delivered dividend of democracy since assumption of office.

He advised people in the state to support the government in order to achieve its desire of providing basic amenities to the people.
