The Ekiti State Agro Marshals have paraded a suspected rapist, Azeez Isiaka (28), and two others for stealing petrol.

The Agro Marshals’ Commander, Olumide Oni, explained that, “The agro marshals in Iyin-Ekiti, Ifelodun LGA, got information that some people were raping a girl. When they got there, the rapists engaged them in a fight, but our men were able to get one of them while the other one ran away.

In another development, the agro marshals at Ijan-Ekiti in Gboyin LGA received information that somebody stole two kegs of petrol from one Mr Olayemi Olalekan (38) and that upon enquiry, one Suberu Yaya (28), who identified himself as a hunter, was suspected to have stolen the kegs of fuel and was identified through the hunters’ uniform.

The commandant said, “When he was arrested, he made a useful statement which informed the decision of the security agents to summon the complainant, Olalekan, to the office, who claimed that Yaya stole the two kegs of fuel from him at gunpoint,” adding that the gun was recovered from the suspect.
