The Ekiti State Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Brig Gen Joe Komolafe (Rtd), has disclosed that the corps arrested 243 suspected criminals in the state in the last two years.

Komolafe gave the figure weekend while briefing newsmen in his office in Ado-Ekiti on the activities of his organisation.

He said, “My men have arrested no fewer than 243 suspects for kidnapping, robbery, burglary, cultism, rape, human trafficking, drug offences and farmers/headers clashes.”

He attributed the success story to the effort put in place by Governor Kayode Fayemi and other security agencies, pointing out that crime rate had reduced to the barest minimum in Ekiti.
