Ekiti approves N7.6bn for roads, infrastructural development

The Ekiti State Executive Council has approved N7.6 billion for the construction and rehabilitation of roads in the state.
The breakdown showed that N921, 242,552.43 was approved for the construction of Ikole township roads, N4,322,511,502.70 for Ado-Iworoko road and N2,329,440,507.94 for the construction of bus terminals and pedestrian walkway/drain covers along Ijigbo to Okeyinmi roundabout in the state capital.
The Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Akin Omole, who briefed journalists in Ado Ekiti Thursday, said the contractors handling the roads had been given between 10 and 12months to complete the projects.
