Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Lekan Ogunmoye

Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Lekan Ogunmoye, has set 57 awaiting trial inmates free in the state.

The chief judge made this decision during an official visit to the custodial centre in Ado Ekiti.

Justice Ogunmoye reviewed 518 cases involving 511 male and 7 female inmates.

Six were granted bail, 9 were released on the basis of having no case to answer, and 42 were released unconditionally based on health issues and minor offences.

Justice Ogunmoye advised released inmates to be good ambassadors, warning that the law would catch troublemakers in Ekiti State.
