A magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has ordered the remand of two men, Olanipekun Olasunkanmi (34) and Adeboye Olanayo (40) at the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged fraud of over N40 million.
The prosecutor, Inspector Ojo Osobu, told the court that the defendants were reasonably suspected to have committed the offences of conspiracy and fraud to the tune of N40.7m against Sadesh Global Limited on May 12th, 2024, in Ado-Ekiti.
Inspector Osobu, therefore, urged the court to remand the defendants pending legal advice from the DPP.
The Magistrate, A.O. Owoleso, who ordered the remand of the defendants, adjourned the case to June 28.
