Ekiti gov’ship: Ex-minister asks citizens to pray for God’s intervention

Senator Prince Adedayo Adeyeye

A former Minister of Works, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, has asked the people of Ekiti State to offer prayers for God’s intervention and success in the June 18 governorship election in the state.

In a statement yesterday, Adeyeye, who is the leader of the South West Agenda for Tinubu 2023 presidential ambition (SWAGA), said the best intervention would be for God to be merciful and give the state a governor that would make the right sacrifices for Ekiti greatness in all spheres.

“The 2022 Ekiti governorship election is central to our greatness. It is another year for us to take a decision that would either make or mar us as a people. So we need to pray for God’s guidance and this period offers that unique opportunity.

“The birth of Jesus Christ conveys the messages of love, sacrifices, fear of God, holiness and eternal life. We need a governor that will make Ekiti proud in 2022. Someone who feels the plights of the people; someone who understands the terrain, our problems and how best to resolve them,” he said.
