Ekiti man steals N620,000 church offering

The police in Osun State, have arrested a man, Opeyemi Oluwafemi, for stealing N620,000 church offering from the Christ Apostolic Church, Ikeji-Arakeji, in Osun State.

Oluwafemi, from Iropora-Ekiti, Ekiti State, in a video, is seen being arrested by policemen conducting stop-and-search on Igbara-Odo-Akure road while riding on a Bajaj motorcycle with Reg No: TUN 560 UC, carrying a school bag.

It was learnt that when he was searched, it was discovered that the bag was full of naira notes in different denominations and that the suspect could not explain the total amount until it was counted by those who searched him.

The squeezed naira notes were in the N5 N10, N50, N100, N200, N500 and N1,000 denominations.

During interrogation, he confessed that he broke into the vault of a church and stole the money.
