Kaduna state governor, Nasir El- Rufai, says he has enrolled his six year-old son into a public school in the state.
The governor in a series of tweets on the state’s official handle, @GovKaduna, said the son, Abubakar Al-Siddique El-Rufai, is to attend Kaduna Capital School, starting today – Monday.
El-Rufai explained that this was in fulfilment of the promise he made to the people of Kaduna state in 2015.
One of the tweets reads “After being elected as Governor of Kaduna state in 2015, Gov. El-Rufai made a promise that he will reform public education in the state and his children will attend public schools.
Today, Abubakar Al-Siddique El-Rufai has been enrolled as a Primary One pupil of Capital School.”
The tweets also had photos of El-Rufai and his son in the school.
