Former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, has taunted the Kaduna State government under the leadership of his successor, Governor Uba Sani.
An X user had posted pictures of some waste dump in the state, saying Sani had “changed Kaduna completely” since he took over.
“They thought we were kidding when we said that in just a few months, Governor Uba Sani had changed Kaduna completely. This is the type of change we are getting from the best Governor in Nigeria 😹.”
The sarcasm in his tweet implied that Governor Sani’s claims of achievement were exaggerated or unfounded.
Reacting to the post, El-Rufai in a cryptic mockery of his successor, said, “From God we all came, and to Him we shall all return.”
El-Rufai and Sani have been at loggerheads
Sani had said the administration of his predecessor left huge debt and liabilities which has stymied governance in Kaduna.
The governor, who spoke during a town hall meeting in Kaduna, said he inherited a lean treasury, adding that he could not pay workers’ salaries.
Subsequently, the Kaduna house of assembly commenced a probe of the former governor.
El-Rufai also headed to court challenging the house’s committee report which accused him of corruption.
