He was equally a member of the gang that led to the further impoverishment of Nigerians through the obnoxious policy of privatisation as he was the Director General of Bureau for public enterprises (BPE). When he was the DG, many public enterprise where auctioned at the expense of the Nigerian masses without accounting for the proceeds of the whole robbery. El’rufa’i can never attract our sympathy. His administration as FCT minister was the worst in history. The so-called restoration of Abuja master plan was unjust as many people were made landless without compensation. In fact, el- Rufa’i had championed all the anti-masses policies as minister. He was even nicknamed as Mr. Demolition as his only concerned was to demolish not build.
