The Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Benue state, Nentawe Yilwatda, on Wednesday said electoral materials have already arrived some local governments headquarters in the state.

Yilwatda made the disclosure at a stakeholders meeting organised by the Police in Makurdi.

“Materials for the Saturday elections are already in some local government areas of the state,” he said.

The REC who said he personally supervised the movement of the materials by lorries from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the state, informed that while some have been delivered to the local government headquarters, others were being moved on Wednesday morning to respective destinations.

He added that by Friday, the materials would have reached the ward levels while the ad-hoc staff are expected to reach their primary places of assignment same day accordingly.
