The Plateau State Police Commissioner in charge of elections, Mamman Dauda, has warned religious leaders against unguarded utterances during and after the general elections.

Dauda, who said this, while briefing journalists yesterday on the measures to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections in the state; promised that the law would not spare anyone.

The commissioner while warning the religious leaders, also warned criminal elements, who were bent on instigating violence during the exercise as the law would take its course on any violator.

While calling on the police and personnel from other security agencies to ensure that the security of lives and properties, voters and INEC officials are properly protected, he, however, warned them against corrupt practices.

“I am sounding this warning that on no account should any of you be found to be engaging in any form of corrupt practices,” he said.
