Kano state Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the appointment of Barrister Wada Bashir Isiaku as the Secretary, Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC).

A statement signed by the state Commissioner of Information, Muhammad Garba, said Wada was the secretary of the commission from 2003 to 2007.

The statement added that Wada holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Bayero University, Kano, and that he worked with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as an electoral Officer in Bagwai, Gezawa, and Ajingi local governments and Head of Logistics of the state INEC headquarters.
