The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued Elin Group Limited, a private charter airline, its AMO Certificates and OPSPEC, authorising the company to expand into third-party aircraft maintenance.

The certification, granted in September 2025, came shortly after Elin engineers successfully carried out Africa’s first 7,800 landings check on a Challenger 604 jet. The project, which ran from April to June, was completed in Nigeria without foreign involvement.

Elin Group operates a Challenger 604 and an Agusta A109E helicopter and has been active in Nigeria’s private charter industry for more than five years.

Officials say the development is expected to boost job creation for Nigerian engineers and enhance confidence in local expertise.
