“The club will remain in my mind for long because I achieved one of my biggest dreams of winning the AFCON and emerged as the top scorer at the tournament while at Spartak.
“I am now looking forward to a memorable stay at Fenerbahce.”
The 26-year-old Nigeria international striker arrived Istanbul to a rousing welcome on Wednesday ahead of signing a four-year contract with ‘The Yellow Canaries’.
Meanwhile, the former Karabukspor of Turkey striker has dedicated his last goal in the colours of Spartak to mark the one year birthday of his nephew Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Emenike also known as Emenike Junior.
“When the baby was born, I was not in Nigeria, when they did the Christening, I was also not in the country, but I went home after that to see the new Emenike indeed, and I found out he’s really a junior me,” Emenike told MTNFootball.com
“I love seeing kids, they make you to flash back and see how wonderful God is because you were at some point like that.
“The only gift I have for him was my last goal against Kuba Krasnoda when we played a 2-2 draw.”
