The Emir of Gwandu and Chairman Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhammad Iliyasu Bashar has enjoined commercial banks in the country to adopt banking policies of Jaiz bank in the interest of the masses.
Bashar made the recommendation when the Managing Director of Jaiz Bank, Malam Hassan Usman and his entourage paid him a courtesy visit in his palace in Birnin Kebbi.
The royal father who commended Jaiz bank for its non interest loan and soft banking policies, said the bank had been making life better for its customers.
The emir described the emergence of the bank as timely in view of its banking principles devoid of interest towards making life meaningful to its customers.
He said Islamic banking system was accepted even in Western countries because of its transparent policies and principles.
“Jaiz bank is all about making life better for the people. I really commend your resilience in spite of the challenges today,” the emir said.
Earlier in his remarks, the managing director of the bank, Malam Usman said the visit was in appreciation of the support and cooperation rendered by the royal father towards establishment of the bank in the state.
