Justice Sidi Dauda Bage, Emir of Lafia, has intervened in the lingering strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Nasarawa State chapter.

JUSUN has been on strike for over eight months.

The Chief of Staff to Emir of Lafia who holds the title of Adon Gari, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Abdullahi, told Aso Chronicle that the emir was concerned about the lingering strike embarked upon by JUSUN. “The royal father was a judicial staff and he cannot keep quiet when there is problem in the state judiciary and he is committed to ending the crisis soon,” he said.

Similarly, Musa Jimoh, JUSUN chairman in the state commended the emir for his intervention with the view to ending the lingering strike by the union.

The JUSUN chairman explained that the emir invited them to a parley with the chief judge and they were awaiting the Judicial Service Commission to reinstate the 22 dismissed staff.

JUSUN had embarked on an indefinite strike demanding for an end to the alleged illegal deduction of their entitlements.
