Emir urges Muslims to use Ramadan period to pray for peace, stability

Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali

The Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has tasked Muslim ummah to use the forthcoming month of Ramadan to pray fervently for peace and stability of the nation.

He stated this during a graduation ceremony of Ummul Muminun Aisha Foundation held at his palace in Zaria.

The emir, who lamented on the increasing spate of killings, banditry and abduction particularly in the northern part of the country, said prayer remained the only panacea towards averting the ugly trend.

He said since the month of Ramadan is holy, everything prayed for during the period would surely be answered by Almighty Allah.

The emir, therefore, urged all Muslims not to relent in doubling their prayers for divine intervention against the persistent insecurity in the nation.

He mandated all district, village and ward heads in the emirate to task Islamic scholars in their respective domain to make prayers a regular routine during any of their religious activities for Allah’s intervention.

Malam Bamalli, however, appealed to traders to subsidise the prices of their commodity to enable Muslims to enjoy the period with ease.
