 It noted that there was an existing law that bans horse racing in residential areas where children and other vulnerable people are living.

The statement therefore warned that any horse rider who rides a horse and knocks down a person accidently would be made to face the wrath of the law. Investigations by Pyramid Trust revealed that horse riders in Kano are in the habit of racing horses in residential areas, especially during marriage ceremonies and festivities. The practice has been posing a threat to the safety of lives especially children and the old living in these residential areas.
