Emirs to meet, chart new course for state

He said, with permission from Governor Ibrahim Gaidam, he hoped to convene a meeting of all traditional rulers in the state to discuss how to assist government deliver services to the people, adding that when the meeting is approved, it would be a continuous one and would be holding in different parts of the state.

According to the traditional ruler, the meeting “is strategic in view of the advisory role of the traditional rulers to the success of any government,” and promised that emirs and chiefs in the state would continue to render advice to government in areas of need.

The emir who visited Governor Gaidam said “the council of chiefs will always lend full support to government and, from time-to-time, offer advice in areas of need.”

 In his response, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam assured that his administration would give all the needed support to traditional institutions to maintain peace, security and peaceful co-existence, among the various ethnic groups across the state.

Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa became the Emir of Fika in March this year after the death of his father, Alhaji Abali Ibn Idrissa.
