Reacting to the transition of the former first lady, who lost her after suffering from ovarian cancer, noted that the former first lady was a trail blazer and fought for the liberation of women at the grassroots level, urging women folk to trail her positive footsteps, which will last for a life time in the lives of women folk across the African continent.

“Mrs Babangida lived a life worthy of emulation by all women, touching many lives , with her  initiated programme, Better  Programme Life For Rural Women, she fought  and bettered the live of local women and brought them to the notice of  local and international attention  not only in Nigeria but Africa” he said .

“She worked assiduously to ensure that women participated in the socio-economic development of the country and her contributions to the uplifting of the underprivileged, I wish women at all level would keep the flame burning in all spheres of their daily life”.

The traditional title holder of Dallatun Ringim, charged  women to uphold the virtues of the deceased, whom he said held tenaciously to religious principles and the plight of the less privileged, arguing that where women hold fast to these qualities they would impact better on the development of  their communities.
