Making the call at the annual speech and prize giving day of Hayatudden Qur’an and Islamic School in Fagge, Kano last Saturday, the district head of Fagge, Alhaji Mahamud Ado Bayero, said there was nothing more profitable than adhering to Qur’an’s code of ethics, adding that the Qur’an was an embodiment of everything, as it leaves no one in doubt.
Alhaji Mahamud Bayero, however, stated that there was nothing worth doing than to emulate the good virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), stressing that the proliferation of Qur’an and Islamic schools was a good omen to the entire Muslim Ummah.
“Today, I am quite happy to say that, Islam is a fast-growing religion, a feat every Muslim should be proud of. The Kano emirate council is ever ready to support the course of Islam at any given time,” he promised.
Speaking on the recent Boko Haram debacle, Alhaji Mahamud Bayero remarked that the incident should serve as a poser to every Muslim, stressing that Islam preached peace and abhorred bloodshed under whatever pretext.
About 60 graduands, comprising males and females, were given various prizes in the presence of eminent personalities who graced the occasion.
