The indigenous pharmaceutical company, Emzor, has unveiled a new product brand, 1000mg paracetamol, otherwise known as Para1000.
At a briefing in Lagos, Emzor Group Managing Director, Dr Stella Okoli, said the new Para1000 was developed for the convenience of the company’s numerous customers in Nigeria and Africa.
Okoli who described the new product as the first of its kind in Nigeria, noted that it was produced to reduce customers’ burden of taking two caplets of 500mg paracetamol.
The managing director promised Nigerians that the product will be affordable and made available to all, irrespective of status and societal class.
A brand manager with Emzor, Gbenga Obaparusi, added that many Nigerians skipped prescription due to the burden of taking multiple pills.
He said the new drug will improve adherence to treatment.
