Labour Party (LP) has urged the security agencies to end attacks on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) facilities, which had suffered a series of attacks in recent times.
The party’s national secretary, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim Mai Rakumi, stated this on Monday while reacting to the Sunday’s gunmen attack in Southern Kaduna.
He expressed dismay over the spate of killings of LP’s supporters in Kaduna State.
He said the violent attacks in southern Kaduna, which he said was the party’s strongholds and the constituency of its gubernatorial candidate, Jonathan Asake, was a calculated attempt to demoralise their supporters.
He further called on the state government and security agencies to bring an end to the heinous act.
