#EndSARS: APC chieftain seeks compensation for northerners attacked in Abia, others

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Martin Ikechukwu Apugo, has condemned the reported attacks on northerners and the destruction of their property during the recent #EndSARS protest in the state.

He expressed sadness that hoodlums hijacked the protest to cause mayhem, and urged the Abia State government to compensate the victims adequately.

Apugo who contested for the House of Representatives for Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency in the 2019 general elections, also called on the state governments to ensure transparency during the investigation and also ensure proper compensation for the victims.

He also advised the youth to shun any act that could cause trouble which would be of no benefit to the nation.
