#EndSARS: Oluwo seeks inclusion of traditional rulers in panel of inquiry

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi.

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, on Wednesday urged the federal and state governments to include resourceful traditional rulers into the panel of inquiries on police brutality across the nation.

Oluwo, in a statement by his media aide, Alli Ibrahim, said this would keep traditional rulers abreast of security issues and equally facilitate effective mediation where needed.

The first-class traditional ruler from Osun State said aside from police stations, responsible palaces are always primary points of contact during any security threat.

He said some panels constituted in some states were without traditional rulers, asking the government to consider their traditional input most especially as it relates to security matter.
