As the #EndSARS turned violent in Benin City, two police stations have been burnt down by suspected hoodlums.

It was gathered that the affected stations are the Ugbekun and Odogbo police divisions.

It was also gathered that the hoodlums attempted to burn down the Oba Market police station but were resisted by operatives of the division.

Correspondents could not reach the state police command spokesman, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, as calls placed on his cell phone were not answered.

Meanwhile, the protesters have vented their anger on the office of Darr Communications Limited, operators of Africa Independent Television and Ray Power radio in Benin City.

A staff of the state who craved anonymity said the hoodlums who came in their number vandalized several vehicles on the premise.

“I don’t know what could have warrant their action. We are not government, we are a private outfit doing our job,” he said.
