Nigerian youths across the country took to the streets in the past few days to protest the brutality and inhuman treatment by operatives of the outlawed SARS against citizens.
Following the continuous protests, President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the immediate disbandment of the SARS unit of the Nigerian Police Force while the Presidential Panel on Police Reforms acceded to the five-point demands by the protesters.

But despite the Federal Government addressing some of the issues raised by the protesters, we still observed that some of these youths are still going on with their protests against the SARS.
A popular saying says that you quit the stage when the ovation is loud; no doubt, Nigerian youths across all divides have spoken loudly and have been heard by the authorities.
I therefore urged the protesting youths and organizers of the protests to cease further protests since their demands are now receiving attention at the highest level in the country.
We don’t need to lose more lives of our promising youths due to confrontations with security forces.It’s time to cease fire.
